Lately I have been meditating on my personal growth as a human being, a woman, a friend, a partner...
I have accomplished a lot in my life and I'm happy to be the person I am but there are times when I feel so incredibly and hopelessly flawed that I find it hard to believe I can succeed and better myself.
Live is funny: the more you overlook your defects and flaws, the more often life will present them back to your face on a silver platter...till we find the courage to look ourselves in the mirror and decide to change.
But what is that? What does "change" mean?
Often times we think a change has to be big and sudden and everyone should know about it...like when you binge eat or chain smoke and then you quit overnight...
I don't think so. I don't believe so.
The real change happens slowly, daily, in tiny steps.
It has to be daily. It's like brushing your teeth. It has to become part of your daily practice.
Taking action each day is way more effective than coming up with a big heroic gesture every 6 months.
It only take a slight shift in direction to begin to change my life.
