LOST IN SPACE

Wish I had a god that I could cling to

wish I had faith the sun will raise again

wish I could close my eyes and see a guiding star

but everywhere I turn

I see storms that kill, fires that burn

Wish I had a god that I could pray to

wish she had a voice, strong enough to help our choice

for a better place, for a healthy world

for honesty and grace, for freedom and compassion

for respect and redemption

I lost my faith I lost my faith

we're lost in space, lost in space….

All I believe is we are left alone, facing our disbelief

and it's not enough, not enough

to pray to god in heaven above

if we don't dirty our hands,

 dig in the mud, draw our blood
