4th And Vodka

4TH AND VODKA

The sound of your tears from (at) the bottom of your soul

you hear voices of blame of all your flaws

they're inside your head like a thousand hammers

your grandma preaching about good manners

You walk fast to the corner of 4th and vodka

your steps are hectic like dancing a polka

you know no one is meeting you down there

inside your heart you scream, you cry, you swear

but there's a stare in your eyes,

that dream, those butterflies

that itch in your feet, the stone in your shoe

that makes you bite off   more than you can chew.

you gotta keep going keep going you gotta keep going till you can no more

you keep running from the ghosts hunting your home

till you feel all the pain in your bones

you need to run, run, run till you're so worn out

you wanna sit down and talk of what this is about

you see a sign that says "dead end street"

you go down to face your own defeat

and you stop  for a drink,

then you realize that this life is just a wink

you gotta keep going keep going you gotta keep going till you can no more
