GHOSTS

You think you overcame everything
You feel like the fighter of darkness,
Who comes out from a hopeless battle.
And he’s worn out, but he raises his head
To let everybody know he is the winner.

But suddenly you feel week
Helpless, followed by enemies
You looked back, and they dissolve.
You keep on walking firmly ahead
Non so sure ‘cause you felt them:
The ghosts of the men you put in the grave
Will hunt you for ever and ever.

Fading images of people you’ve known surround you
Scare you to death
And who is the winner now?
Don’t let them know you’re afraid
Don’t let them see you’re crying
Find your light, let it out
And enlighten those creatures of darkness
To live again.
